So I'm heading out to DVL tomorrow with a couple of work buddies - I'm gonna pop their fishing cherries. Neither of the guys have ever been fishing before so I want to show them a good time. Been hearing a lot lately about the LMB bite, and even the cat bit, lol. My plan of action is going to be some swim baits, around 20 ft. water or so, and maybe dropshot some roboworms. Also hear some rubber crayfish has been working out there as well. Any other tips on gear/ location from you guys? I know no one wants to give away their honey pot area, but any help on the lake would be great. I've been there twice, got the skunk once, but still a complete noob on the lake. Renting a toon if that helps.

Fish the flats in rawsons, Dropshots, or flyline senkos up on the banks, or carolina rig a brush hog watermelon is probably the safest to stack up on. Look for bait in 30-40ft. Good luck and have fun...
