My friend and I hit up the lake at around 11:45 for some end of the season trout fishing. We got out on the lake and headed over towards Market Cove. We fished towards the end, using powerbait, and Roboworms to see if there is any bass action. After a good hour and nothing biting, we headed towards the dam, which was a joke. We set down both anchors, yet we still would not sit still. Since we couldn't stay in one spot, we decided to try our usual spot by the beginning of the first cove. It was a good choice, as I quickly hooked up on a small rainbow. There was something chasing it, as it was frantically jumping oddly out of the water. Most likely a huge bass. Once landed, we both managed to land 4 successfully, but had about 7 on overall. Biggest fish went 3.10lbs. Sadly, it snapped open the prong on the stringer and swam off. Oh well! It was a pretty good day. I hope to go back one more time before the season ends.
