Winds picked up today and made it tougher. The 3/4 day boats did manage a few and they are metering good schools. Average size for 12 to 20 with an occasional 25 to boot. Pass couple of days had better conditions which resutled in the better counts. Today's winds killed it dramatically.

Fish are biting sardines and heavy yo-yo's. 20 to 25# for the flylining and 40#rig are recommended for the yo-yo's.

The San Diego had 13 tails for 67 anglers

The Mission Belle had 2 for 34 anglers

The Malihini had 1 for 23 anglers

Winds should settle down for tomorrow which could put the fish active again. The bad news is that we have a storm coming in. Should change the ball game until we can get some consistent weather, right currents, and clean blue waters for the Coronados. Some of my best ever fishing has been on the 3/4 trips to the islands. 100+ yellows in a day. Great times!!! All boats mentioned fish hard and have great crews.

Tight lines...

Nice.....My favorite 3/4 boat for the Coronados. Captain Steve fishes hard and will put in the overtime if there are fish to be had.

Great.

You should stand a chance then of getting a yellow since snagging is allowed in the ocean.

The wife and I was on the San Diego on Friday, when the 1st Yellow's came to play. Only 21 people on the boat. Ryan was El Captain', (5) deck hands (George was funny as hell). Great day of fishing, even though a little choppy. Ended up with below

BILLY
1 YELLOW
1 BONITO
1 RED
1 BOCACCIO
2 MISC ROCKFISH

WIFE
2 BONITO
