So I was driving by Mile Square for an hour of fishing at my honeyhole but saw a ton of people fishing so I kinda figured there was a trout derby goin on. Busted a U and back home to grab my trout gear and my new phenix trout rod. This rod is the baddest trout rod on Planet Earth. Well wife wanted to go along and take a walk with the babies so we all ended up goin.

Caught a few dinks on a pearl crappie jig and this beast on a smoke sparkle jig. Id say about seven pounds or so. Man those phenix rods are really sweet and a great day it had on the water for its first trip.

Gotta remember these trout are put in lakes to get caught. I think better the trout get eaten by people than by birds...

this last stocking, has some good size ones so i think it's better if licensed people catch them better than proachers.

These fish wont last long in that warm lake. If you were there today you probably noticed the 500 fisherpeople there. Not a big secret when you have a tourney goin on at the lake. Not much else I can say. This is a fishing report.

Nice catch looks like a nice 5 pounder

I think im finally sold on the Phenix rods i should have bought mine a couple months back instead of spending a fat wad on my LCD big screen. Oh well just got save up a few more bucks i had about 300.00 bucks laying around and lost it at the race track today hahaha :(

Went back to see if i couldnt hook up with one of the carps I saw the day before cruising around. While waiting for it to get warm for the carp to start moving threw the mini jig for a bit and got a nice 6.5 lb. My buddy got two nice ones also. The carp never showed so I soaked some PB to kill some time and was rewarded with another 6.3 rainbow. What a day. Quite a few nice trout caught. Good luck if you guys get out there. Rangers came by quite a bit so bring your fishing license....

what about the free trip Pete offered to Fishindude420? If he doesn't accept is it still up for grabs? I've got friday off, I'll bring my own baits and you can blind fold me before we go to any spots.
