Camped and fished up at Casitas for a few days, Sat-Monday. Water temps ranged from 59 to low 60's, dropped from last weeks (65-66). Heard the usual " should have been here last week the fishing was great". Weather was decent mostly clear skies windy in the afternoons.

Caught some fish on the carolina rigs and finness baits on the light line in deeper water 18 - 25 ft. SUPER SLOW retreive. Some bed fish to play with but left them alone for the most part. I did put 1 on the boat. Couldn't resist.

just shy of 4 lbs

Spent most of the trip throwing the big baits. We had very little luck. Conditions were kinda funky some fish spawning, a few fish up shallow looking, but most fish were deep. Highlight of the trip was spotting this guy.

We told ourselves it was a sign of good luck.

Shortly after we hooked one on the huddleston. Short bite, then he came back, get him 1/2 way to the boat, came unbuttoned. Outch!!

Great time camping, catching was fair at best but a nice get away!
