Spotted Bass Attacked @ Nacimiento Lake

Met up with three teampanfish members and headed out to Nacimiento Lake on 03/31/09 for White Bass fishing trip. Got to the lake too early, me and seng waited in the car listened to his friends sang oprah until falling asleep...lol... Woke up around 6 in the morning when back to get breakfast from Jack in the Box for to go. Marina opens at 8 am. We were soooo excited to get out there...lol... While they still filling up gas on a pontoon, I managed to land a spotted bass and one crappie. The other one caught by Pokerface12. Before we took off to find the white bass, we caught a bunch of spotted bass and two crappies.

We caught nothing but spotted bass, bluegill, and crappie.

Catching all of these fishes some of us were knocked out from exhaustion...lol...

All the spotted bass were released back in the water so they could tell their friends and families to come look for us on our next fishing trip...lol...

Nice job man. Bummer about the whitebass. I've tried that lake a few times over the years when people say the whitebass bite is hot but have yet to catch one there. Those spotties and slabs more than make up for it though. Thanks for the report.

those spotties are pretty. i heard they're brawlers too. i guess perris used to have a good population at one time. nice work.

We caught 23 crappies and 12 bluegills. We were using Trout Teasers 1/32.

the best trip so far...it lasted 24 hours...left the house at 10pm and got back home at 10pm the next day...those spotted bass were very fun to catch on UL...cant wait to do it again very soon when the white bass are done spawning...the slabs were amazingly huge out there and fun to catch....the water was clearer than clear:

Nice report like always. Got to love those little spotties. They fight like spotted bay bass ,and sand bass. Its my turn to do my northern run up to fresno (clovis)in 30days for vacation, and stay with my son ,and family.we always fish pine flat lake trimmer marina ,from the dock,and cleghorn cove from shore.pineflat is the #1 spotted bass fishery in california, we always catch 30 to 40 fish a day.look forward to your future reports.good luck ,and god bless.................. The guy works at the marina said that white bass start to come out next mounth looking for shads around the marina after they spawned. You can catch them on jigs.
