float tubes arent checked right?

Silverwoods website says float tubes so I'm sure Perris will be the same since they are both state parks.

I'll find out tomorrow.

Thanks Flying!

Silverwood is starting on Saturday and I want to tube there this weekend. Any info on what the procedures are at Paris would be great.

The sign at Perris said Saturday too. So much for the info on their website.

No one at the shack as usual today to talk to but the sign says all vessels will be checked before entering the park. I'll check again on Friday.

Well I just got off the phone with someone at Perris and basically EVERYTHING(tubes, pontoons, yaks, canoes ect.) that goes on the water will need inspection. Inspections will be at the main entrances. All inspected vessels will get tagged so if you try to launch from Bernasconi you better have a tag as you can get checked out on the water. Sounds like they will have(or working on) some kind of honor tag system for regulars who use Perris only. This way you just need the 1st inspection and you're good for awhile.

So get out there and scrub all your gear and get it dry even if still just Perris crap on there. There will be someone at the main gates everyday from opening till sunset.

Procedures at the Wood for tubes, make sure and have easy access to the tube and they will take a quick look when you enter. Go in the non-boating line for tubes, kayak's, canoes and pontoons and shouldn't be too bad. If your tube is buried then they may send you aside to dig it out, no need for inflation. Think the procedures are the same as Perris.
