Went out and did a quick early morning fishing trip aboard my little aluminum boat “Red Drum”. I ended up doing a solo trip because my guest was a "no show", which I later found out that it was due to getting run over by an 18 pack of “The Banquet” the night before.

I fished a total of two and half hours for a total of 7 Calico Bass, 6 Sand Bass and 1 Black/Buttermouth Perch. Back on the trailer at 9:30am and at my daughter’s Gymnastic Meet in Pasadena by 11:30am.

First fish of the day.

The last Bass of the morning.

All fish were released to fight another day.

Although I wished I could’ve stayed out longer, I still had a blast going bendo for a couple hours. I can’t wait to do another trip out on the big pond. HOOK-UP!!

Till next tide,

Nice job man, 13 bass in two hours sounds awesome. Just curious, how do you tie that tandem rig that you use with the swimbaits?

Way to go on the 2 hour fishing sprint race! I saw you heading back in the harbor, we just pulled up to the bait reciever in a white trophy cc as you were passin by. I guess I shoulda said hi! I'll try next time, I didnt really know it was your boat untill I noticed the little "Red Drum" in between all those other stickers. Glad you had a good time, we did the rockfish/sanddab deal off of Malibu. Later

3-way swivel
12 & 16 inch leaders
2 swimbait leadhead jigs.

Got to tie 5 knots but it's a lot of fun when you get a double hook-up, and a real bummer when you snag a rock and lose the whole set-up. Good Luck!!

Very nice! Were you fishing the man made reef by any chance? No, a natural hard bottom area that never gets fished by the Sporties. Yippee!
