Has anybody fished Lopez recently? Was wondering if the Crappie went off there yet. Any info is appreciated. I'll be fishing it next weekend and will share what I find. Thanks.

I was just there and was targeting crappie. There is none. The only ones I saw were some guys that caught them in 50ft by the dam and the biggest one was 9 inches.

Any chance you might know what the water temp is right now? Headed up there with the kids to do some camping next week.

I heard from 52-60 in one cove the nights were hitting in the low 30's

52-60 is the water temp. Most guys with fish finders told me most water was in low 50's. However, some cove were hitting 60 late in the afternoon

Hauled the boat over and fished it hard all day Saturday, couldn't get bit and didn't see a fish caught. Water was low to mid 50's. Going to wait and give it a few more weeks.

Yeah, I might try up there again in early May. I heard that lake santa margarita is supposed to be good as well.
