Hey everyone, couldn't wait for the opener so we got the guys together and headed out to Bishop for the weekend. Fished the Lower Owens and Pleasant Valley Reservoir for some awesome trout action. Managed our limits the first day at the Owens and at PVR, a lot of dinks at the Lower O, (BTW). One of the guys managed a beautiful 19 incher and I got myself a brown. Fished crickets, Elk Hair Caddis,Woolly Buggers and spinner flies on the flyrod, PB and of course nightcrawlers. All in all, awesome time fishing and spending quality time with the guys. Cant wait till the season opens. Good luck

Looks like you guys had alot of fun. Did you guys camp out or stay in a hotel...

You guys look like Raider fans in that group photo!!!!

yes we did stay in a hotel, we kept a few for the BBQ that night but otherwise the rest were safely released.

This is not a hybrid, it just a young rainbow with what are called "parr marks" which are the oval spots commonly found on young trout. Also, anything hybrid is sterile. All trout vary greatly in color as their are many different strains and many different environments, not to mention all of the different foods they eat,

Any time you catch a fish on the fly rod makes the Sierra's that much better!!! Nice work!
