Hey Everyone,
Made it to the Harbor last night and fished from the shore near 18th street.
Got there at about 7:30pm and fished till about 9:30pm.
Cold and windy when we got there.
The tide was at the end of the incoming but the wind was blowing the surface water in an outgoing direction. (Which way should I cast in conditions like this? W/ or Against the wind?)
I was in waders and thought I'd try something new so I tied on a slug I got from FH for nada. Switched over to a crank bait. I never had much success with crankbaits in the Harbor but some guys at FH said that was their preferred method so I gave it a whirl.
Well I would have seen the skunk but towards the end of the night I snagged a small bat ray probably 3-5 feet from where I was standing. I'll try and post a picture later.
Thanks,
Mike
