Even though the weather looked bad, I decided to hit up Lake Perris yesterday. I don't get a lot of time to fish, so sometimes I have to go when the weather doesn't look so good! I had gone to Balboa Pier the night before for some Mac-attack action! Anyway, got to the lake at 3:00pm, no boats were being rented due to the high winds, decided to fish at the marina and along the beach. Fished hard for four hours, tried crickets, mealworms, night crawlers, tube jigs, rigged all sorts of different ways, for a couple short bites on the crickets, no hook ups at all. The mack got no hits for the catfish. No one else there caught anything either, except this one guy who caught a few very modest sized bluegill on the crickets. I guess the takehome message is when a cold front comes in, stay home!

Thanks for sharing.... Just wait one month and the blugill will be wide open and off to the frying pan. The last I fish Paris was late last year and was catching them in the hundreds.
