Got to go out on the USS Nimitz yesterday. All day out in the ocean make me want to go catch some fish. Got up at 9am this morning looked out the window, and wind was blowing like crazy. I thought "well I guess no fishing today". Shortly after I got a text meassage from my buddy saying that he was bored and he was off work. So here we go. Lets tough out the wind and see what I can do. By the time we hit the HWY86 the sand storm was so bad we can only see 20ft or less and was driveing at 15mph. Thinking about turning back but glad I din't. Well here we go got to north shore at about 3pm was throwing my bommer, and about 5 cast in to it. Got hit hard but nothing when I set the hook. The next cast ........got slam this what came up

Then after that nothing but more wind, cold and sand ....... finally say forget it and went home. Glad to catch something and not skunked.

One last picture on my driveway, before I put her in to the fryer. Yes it was gooddddd :)

I'm glad you decided not to quit too! Those are some great fish! Do you think there are crayfish in the canal? I am wondering what makes those brownies so big.

It was easy, I had my reel spooled up with powerpro braided line. Love the stuff.
