Does Alamitos Bay hold spotties? It looks like it should... I was thinking about breaking out the float tube soon and thought I may venture somewhere new. Just seems like it would hold fish but I don't see many reports come out of there.

Mostly Sand Bass but there are a few Spotties by the docks. Best shot at Spotties would be Newport Harbor.

Best shot at Spootie is SD county my friends. Over a hundred fish days easy down there. Either SD Bay or Mission. Los Alamitos does have its fair share of spotties but like MikeAce00 said there is a lot of sand bass to contend with. One of the best things to do there is fish for croakers with live ghost shrimp. That can turn into a pretty wide open bite with a few bass in the mix as well.
