1st Yak trip on Mini X

My youngest got in trouble at school, I had to go in today and talk to the teacher....and since I had taken the day off already and the meeting only took about an hour....I decided to get my yak wet.

Launched out of South shores

and paddled by the Queen

and on the the two first islands (Freeman and White I think) First cast and my gulp gets hammered by a small spotty. Little sucker fought hard too.

fished the whole west side but did not get any more hits so I moved the the other island. As soon as I get there, I get another hit and another spotty.

After that I go not love so i started paddling back, trolling my bait. Halfway back, I got hit and reeled in this pencil size cuda

and then another once I got close to the rocks

I fished under the bridge by the ramp and got one fish to chase my bait, but it did not stick.

Fun day on the water but I need to get some waders to keep my arse dry. :mad:
