easy lake?

so this weekend im planning on taking a girl i met on a little date since i found out she likes to fish!, (sounds perfect :Smile:)
and i love to fish, but im not the best... i have had a good day once at lake havasu and caught 3, 6lb catfish around 1 am. and then the next morning like 5, 4lb striper bass.. but that was because noone fishes there i dont think..
and so im wondering where is a good local lake to do some fishing to almost guarentee a catch, and what bait to use?

i heard irvine lake stocks alot, but what bait should i bring if i went there?for what kind of fish?

any advise? tips? im planning on going friday or saturday most likely during the day..

Vail Lake, go to the docks, hook up a drop shot, and you will catch bass all day long!!!!. You can prolly drop a bare hook in there and catch fish...

Heres my take .take a drive to the east shore at the pudd(frank bonneli park) next to raging waters. Go to the east shore. Bring a lite set up, 4 lb line ,a float. 5ft to 6ft leader. A #10 mosqito hook small split shot ,and a box of good old red worms. Kick back, at one of the covered cabanas, with your new girl. You cant go wrong with that set up, every thing will hit that. Pan fish,crappies,trout, and maybe a bass.make sure to release any bass you catch... Good luck, and peace out.... Mike the pmb....
