Promised I take my friend's kid fishing.

I was hoping to land one this size.

Throwing this all day from shore. Had one LMB follow but
it did not want it.

I told him to keep an eye on the rods. Sure enough fish on!
He was a little nervous and wanted me to take over. But I
told him don't worry, just keep reeling him in.

Finally got it close enough to see the size. Looks like 3 or 4 pounds.

Got him using Sardine for bait. Not bad. I had one rod
fishing a meal worm under a bobber. I think going for
Bluegills. Nothing wanted that today. I still have at least
half of them left. I hope they stay alive till next weekend.

I had to help hold the fish, he was nervous. That's the only
fish caught. We moved a few times to try other spots. No love.
Packed it up around 4pm, stopped by moms and give her the
fish. Might try again next week. We'll see. Thanks for reading.....

I saw huge Carp jump here and there but I think I missed the

it was a trip.
it was a mix combination of l.m.b. and carp.
i walked down to the marina to get more bait, i saw a large school of carps w/ an S.
they had to be over 20 lb and more.
i bet they would be fun to catch and release on 6lb test.

yeah, carp put up a really good fight. i remember fishing SARL one time and
caught one @ 6 or 8 lbs. on four pound test. It was fun to catch.

Nice report ! Good job! SWIMBAIT is not interesting for striper bite. They loved anchovy mostly!

That is so true. I just thought I might get lucky one of these days.
I will try again this weekend. I wonder why the Blue Gills are not biting
right now. I sure like to catch em', the bigger ones of course... Maybe too
soon..... Thanks for the feedback.....

Thanks TM65. I don't think I'm done yet. Let's see how I do next time.
I may have to try other baits as well. Hopefully I do better. But had a
good ole time just being out there fishing........
