Took my son and grandson to Skinner this morning for a little stripey action. We unloaded and pulled up on the spot a little after 7. We set the hook on some meter marks and set out the chovy bits. After a bit grandson got slammed, rod almost in the water, but no love. Then he gets hit again and hooks a nice one, 3#2oz. Took some action shots then got busy as the fish wrapped in the anchor.

It was drizzling to a light rain this morning and pretty darned chilly. Then my son hooks up and gets a 2#12oz. No love for me and then no bite on the stripers, so 2 in the morning is OK.
Grandson wanted to trout fish so off to dock 2 we go. Metered lots of fish, missed a few bites then nothing. Took a look at the shoreline for beds, saw nothing, but keep in mind I do not know this lake very well. Back at son's house took a photo or two of the fish.

Granddaughter had to get in the photo of my son's fish. We couldn't convince her to lip it.

Good job grandpa. I need to learn how to catch me one of those things.

Thanks for a great report, nice to have kids hooked up on some fish. We've passed up fishing Skinner the last couple of weeks
