Jackpot Jimmy

Dad and I got down to the landing early, and we were joined by our fishing friends, Bill, Tom, Jerry, Jim, Chak, Ray, and Kevin. Ain't it good to have friends? Got our tickets, and loaded up the boat, got bait, and we headed off to the fishing grounds. We had 31 anglers, and our crew consisted of Captain Stevo, Debo on galley duties, and Morgan helping out on deck.
First order of business was to try the sculpin grounds to see if we could get our quota of sculpin rounded out. It was a little bit bumpy out, and it was wind against swell, but when we sat on the spot okay, the sculpin fishing was the usual instantaneous type fishing. It pitered out, so we moved on to the deeper water.
First off, we tried some drifts which didn't produce too much, but Stevo put us on a drift where some nice misc. rockfish and a nice boccacio that I caught came up, and we tried anchoring on that. Those who were using the sardines got a boccacio instantly, while those fishing squid got some nice chilipeppers and belindas. We also had some mackerel in the tanks, which got us some nice boccacio as well. After a while, the bite we had withered, so we moved on once again.
Our last spots out deep got us some more boccacio, filling our quota on those. We also got some more misc. rockfish. We tried to get more sculpin inside at the last spot, but they didn't cooperate.
Once again, Stevo put us on the fish, both in quality and quantity. Jackpot went to Spitfire Regular "Cocky Kevin" with a nice boccacio! He is a tad bit cocky, but he is learning! By the way, it's all in good fun. Great times, great fishing!
