i got there as soon as they opened and lines were in the water by 7:40 am. i was drop shoting lip ripperz trout worms (not cut). barly 5 mins passed of me jigging and i feel a bite so i set the hook and the fight is on!! on my new bait cast walmart set up =] a nice guy helps me with the net and i put it on the stringer =]

it weighed 4 pounds 12 ounces.

after that i was just using mackeral for some catfish. i had a real nice one but it got away =[ oh well. well thats about it people =] im going to laguna lake in fullerton tommorow for some catfish anybody wanna meet up? i got plenty of mackeral lol. well wish me luck =]

not that simple... if dirt got in, you're going to have to take it apart, clean the drag, washers, bearings. level wind blah blah...

you have no idea how hard it is to clean dirt that gets in the little grooves

i too once use walmart setup...you have to start off somewhere...great job dude!!!

This kid shows everyone that a set up from walmart will catch fish the same way a 200+ dollar combo will. Everyone bashes him and tells him his gear is no good but he is always out there catching what seems like every species of fish on a regular basis. Way to go on the trout.

no one said his gear is no good we just told him how he should place his rod next time.
he is going to have to learn how to place his rods if not like a biley said thier will be dirt and more money to get someone to clean it.
