And the bite was slow. I caught a little baby trout first drop of the morning on a powerbait salmon egg. About 15 minutes later Bekah caught her first fish ever, a nice size trout she named Scuba. That was about it for the rest of the day. A couple missed bites and lots of hiding from the wind.

I decided to do something different this report and not post the usual pics of my ugly face, old englishmen, or surly armenians, and just post pics of the cuties we fished with.

sorry, but one dude got in there.

morning was cold but hardly any wind. that changed in about 20 minutes.

lots of lessons were learned today, including how to re-size your fish.

By the way----
if you are going to Piru with anyone that needs a 1 day license, stop at the tackle shop at the bottom of the hill or get one before hand. they have been out of them for a while now.

we mostly let powerbait and worms soak. but we did take a couple of passes in a spot that we caught fish on the troll a few weeks ago. not 1 bite on the troll.

I guess it's true that fish are attracted to pink----

By the way--- are those girls local fishing guides?

For Hill and Marino's sake, I hope not---

If so, my fishing schedule is suddenly wide open--

You got to find where the fish are holding at this lake since the water levels are down to the ground. Glad you got the couple you did ! Piru is a beautiful lake with some great looking panfish, and lmb!

By the way are those girls professional fishing guides? For Hill and Marino's sake, I hope not, or it's 'game over'!
