There will probably be some Barred Surf Perch and some potential for the Flatties.

I am just a beginner in the surf though!!!!!!

i fish leo carillo quite often and it is a really neat place with a nice range of fish to target. i usually fish off the rocks there, but you could try the shore. i suggest using lugworms for perch. it works like a charm. you dont need to cast far at all for the perch. if you want to try for bass you can cast way out to the kelp with squid or frozen anchovy. also, you could cast towards the shore for halibut. last time i was there i caught my first legal halibut on a frozen anchovy. anyways, good luck and watch out for all the rocks that you will get hung up on. also be careful when you are on the rocks. the waves can really sneak up on you
