Corona lake live 3/14/09

Been here for about an hour n' about 20 cars back.hopefully we hook up or spot 1 of these so called 20 plus pound cats are some tailwalkers. I'll have 1 rod with a stink bait setup and the others for trout. It doesn't look to crowed so far and I don't see too many cars inside for the 24 fishing actually I don't see any. I'll be back in a few to update.

Sorry for the late update. So far we got 9 trout all on power bait orange color dipped In gravy garlic scent. One was caught on nightcrawler . Threw the kastmaster around all morning with no love. Got tired of casting so went to on and have been killing it since. My dad hooked up on a tailwalker around 10:00 I have never seen a trout go airbourne like it did it was pretty cool

gavin & i fished from 7:00 friday afternoon... till 3:00 saturday morning.... we caught one catfish...... we left kind of early.... it was a little cold out on the lake in the boat ! but we did have fun ! 128.00 bucks for 8 hours of fishing...o-well we will get them when the weather warms up !

Well after I posted the last report things got slow until about 2:00 the we moved by the dam (no one wanted to go by the dam except me) and bam my cousin gets hooked up. About 10 mine later so guys on a little motor boat drives right over all our line and while trying to untangle everything my rod goes bendo so I drop every and reel it in.

So total for the day was 11 trout and my dad snagged a shad while reeling in his line to rebait

good job !..... i went out friday and did the 24 hour pass.... got me a cat around 8:00 at the south end of the lake.....about two pounds.... i thought to myself it was going to be a good night.... i fished till 2:00 am saturday morning and never caught any more fish.... it must be to cold.....i put my boat back on the trailer and drove home... but it was good to be back out on the lake.... will try again in a few weeks...

Yea last week when i went i had one of the guys working there filet my fish for me. I asked him why there stocking the cats so early and he said so it could be well stocked in the coming months. He told me "tell you the truth man,Aint nobody gonna pull any cats until about 2-3 weeks after the next 24 hour session" Which is the one this weekend. He said its way to cold. He said usuall u can see the big cats chasing down the left over trout to eat, and he hasnt seen any cats at all except for the 1-2 brought in every now and then.

So im gonna wait for my cat fishing until next month. Even though i know theres tons of them in there. Its just not the right time i guess right now.

I'm starting to like Corona! I'll definitely pull a few night sessions there beginning at the end of June!

Yea i plan on doing a few night cat fish sessions myself.

Im strting to like the place more & more every time i go.

Last 2 months i have been going every other week usually on saterdays.

I wish i would get a complementry pass every now & then i spen at least $150.00 there each time i go on entry fees and boat rentals Haha.
