Pretty decent setup you got there. I got some gills when they were 3" the
summer before last, and now it's 7". The thing's a killer. Stick a cricket on a
lily pad and when the cricket starts to run around, the bluegills bite a chunk
out of the pad and takes the cricket down as well. So I got tons of lily pads
with chunks taken out of them.:LOL: Sometimes if you wiggle your finger in the
water they'll bite it as well.

Any bass? They're pretty hard to take care of, but mine are still doing okay.

nah i had a little one but when i put 2 catfish in from big bear all the bluegills and bass died =[ i think the fish from big bear got a desiese? well now since i had the cats for a long time i thought the disease went away so i put some bluegill in and there doing very well =]

I really think you should get a bigger Aquarium for those fish or just dig/build them a pond man. Your fishes will be a lot more happy. Also, Post another video of your Gold fish tank. Your fishes were pretty nice.

save your allowance and you have enough money, PM me and I have a 75 gallon tank with a fluval 404 and a fluval 104 and EVERYTHING you need for those fish to live a happy life.
All you'll need to do is add water.

Big filter, a pleco and some other bottom feeders to keep the bottom and the sides clean, reguler water changes, gravel vacuum.

I suggest you be very careful with goldfish, as they are very hardy fish, you wont notice dangerous nitrite levels until the fish exhibit severe damage.


Rules for goldfish are different than other fish, because of the sheer amount of waste they create. Live plants, however, DO keep the water alot cleaner, and actually do a better job of cleaning than plecos and other algae eating fish.


Thats awesome that you use gills instead of the more common fish like cichlids.

Try to catch a green sunfish-- they are extremely vicious. Like a stunted LMB!
