Hey guys, so I lent my rod to one of my friends and it came back with a broken tip. He says it was sitting in his car and when he came back it was already snapped. Anyways I would like to know how I could go about getting it replaced. Shimano has the lifetime warranty so hopefully they will replace it somehow. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

try taking it to a tackle shop they might do an exchange, or take it to shimano in irvine.

I also recommend getting friends that don't straight out lie.

LoL its cool even though he said that he was willing to pay for a brand new one but I am taking it to Sav-on tackle and they are replacing it for me. I called Irvine but they would have to order in a new one, but I need it for tomorrow. Thanks for all the help guys!!!

Just take it into the tackle shop where you bought it and they will sent it back to Shimano for a replacement.

I have had two rods replaced by Shimano and only paid $10.00 to the tackle shop for the postage.

If you're in the vicinity of Last Chance Bait & Tackle in Hemet, they will give you one off of the rack if they have it. You just pay the $10.00 for postage. A sweet deal!

so let me get this straight....

even if you break your rod tip by slamming it in a door... or (in my case) breaking them off while pulling them out of a kayak after they got entangled in the net....

shimano will still replace them under warranty? even if its flat out an act of stupidity?
