Dana Point 3/09

After a long winter hiatus, I finally managed to go fishing with my friend Sam. Needless to say, the trip did not disappoint. Conditions were bumpy, but we manage to catch a few legal sheephead, a couple legal scuplin, and a bunch of different types of perch. The highlight of my day was hooking up to a monster sheephead on my curado e7 301 and walmart fishing rod. After an epic battle (me holding on for dear life and praying the line would not snap), we bring up my PB sheephead (PB any species). The nice fish survey guy at the boat launch weighed it at 15 lbs. What a day!

Wow! Haven't seen a sheepshead that big caught out of DP ever! Great job and congrats on your PB fish!

Now that daylight savings kicked, in Dana Point wharf should start running their twlight boats anytime now. Cant beat 2 fer Tuesdays.
