This is my 3rd consecutive Fred Hall Show! Maybe I missed the glory days, but I found this show to be GREAT!
My favorite species to fish for are Trout, Bay Bass, Halibut, and Catfish!
Here is what I got:
$25- A Shimano Sonora (Old Style) reel with 4 extra free Aluminum spools (a bit much but I have been spooled in the Bay and had to put that rod away for the day. WIth 4 spools, I can clamp drag down on that sucker-because you don't know what you are going to get in NPH- and not worry about running out of line or missing the tide because I am re-spooling).
$15 A Huge-I mean Huge and strong Fra-Bill net for Halibt and Catfish.
$20 - 5 packs of Mike Gardner style AA grubs (15 grubs per pack) in colors I have never seen before (including Rainbw Trout and that awesome Halloween color that I'd only seen from Fish Trap or Big Hammer).
$1 off my Gulp Shrimp in colors and sizes that are hard to get - Nuclear Chicken 2" and 3" (Turners could have done better with this and had some really cool Pogy's and other less popular stuff at 50% off, but I go with tried and true so I only got $1 off.
$3.98 Berkley Trout Dip (usually $6 now) I got Corn and Garlic
$6.99 Some really cool hats from Leadmasters that have a Catfish and one with a Trout on it (You never see stuff with Catfish Logo's)
$10 Owner Mosquito Hooks Pro Pack - Unbelievable deal!
Priceless -- The many FNN and Team 57 Friends that I ran into. I even ran into some "not so active members" that I am still cool with. Kicking it with Kevthecatfishstudent my first and all time favorite fishing partner!
What I wanted and they did not have:
Powerbait Heavyweights Fat sink worms
Abu Garcia 7000 reel (Big 5 did have a nice combo called the Abu Garcia Seven, which was $59 and almost as good as the 7000, but I passed on the deal.
What I started to buy but didn't need:
Turners Abu Garcia Specialist Combo $29. You have got to be kidding me!
I struggled with leaving these there, but I no longer buy stuff I don't need or won't use within a few months.
Sabiki Stick- These things are so cool, but I don't even fish live bait anymore.
