While at Fred Hall this week I saw a cool little shad swimbait from Castaic Baits: a small shad (spotted threadfin I think) only a few inches long.
I don't usually throw swimbaits as they're larger than most of the fish I catch. Just don't have the patience to grind a 9" rubber trout out there all day in search of a lunker. But, I'd have to think ANY bass would eat this little shad. Maybe stripers too?
Anyone have any experience with it? Sure looked great in their test tank!
