I'm using a Daiwa Luna 253, great caster and super smooth. You can try the 300 model if you need more line capacity for heavier line. Check the cast control system, though. Not sure if the bigger uses the Centriflex, but I'm not too crazy about that. Also, on some of the bigger round baitcaster models like the Calcutta 400, they have non-disengaging level wind systems. I'm not too crazy about that, but you can always get the non-levelwind version.

Another vote for Curado 300e. Conquests are great, but I really like the
feeling of the low profile reels.

Conquest 400, no question about it. The only reason not to would be the warranty, but if that worries you go with a Calcutta 400 TE.

I'm using a Daiwa Luna 253
+1. Great reel, nice price, neat cast control, and I can use it for other stuff too. (12lb for hali's in the surf anyone?)
Didn't feel like lugging a 300 or 400 around and the 253 is rated for max 20lb line. (but I sometimes put 30 on it just fine)

Won't break when backlashing a big bait. (ask me how I know)

Buy an upgraded drag for it though. +-$8

Go for the Calcutta TE, great reel. I personally have the left handed version.
