catfish and bass relocations

the game and fish as well as the feds are relocating thousands of large catfish, bass, and strippers from the all american canal to canals around el centro, imperial, brawley and westmorland. they are also putting them in sunbeam lake. the cats are as big as 60 lbs. and are averaging 10-20. the bass are as big as 14 to 15 lbs. the rewason for the relocation is that they are lining 26 miles of the all american canal with concrete.....should be some good fishing.:EyePop:

Hi Team 760, thats good that they are not wasting the fish. That would be cool to do business with a 60 pound fish.

heres an update to the relocations......... since relocating and still relocating fish to sunbeam lake, the park service has closed the lake untill 3/22/09....thats after the kids fishing derby.... it will be great fishing there.........lots of big ones.

Good news for the local lakes.Too bad they messed with the AA though.If it goes the way of the Coachella canal it will be fenced off & no fishing soon...
