woke up to another nice cali morning with the itch for the stinky finger. I called up the Grouch and headed to the spot around 10am. I was armed with a t'rigged zoom lizard and a Strike king flip'n tube. The
Grouch was throwing a flylined mini fluke and a Zoom c-tail worm. We split up and went to work. I was first on the board with the lizard. I was working this point really slow for a couple minutes. I felt a thump but didnt set the hook but on the next cast I was ready....... after a couple of light twitches I saw the green flash and zzzzzzzzzzzzzz it was on!!! I brought her in for a lil photo sesh and off she went. Next was the Grouch with a nice fattie that refused to come in but with a little coaxing she made it for a pic. Grouch hooks another one right away it seemed like.... The tiny fluke was on FIRE. It looks just like the bluegill frye that are all over the edge and the bass were buying it. My second fish was on a Flipn tube. This thing got slammed on the drop but I missed the hookset. I switched to a bigger hook and sure enough ... it was on. I took pictures but I must have erased them on accident....... pretty pissed!!!
final count Sr. Rambone: 5 the Grouch: 5
we both had our fair share of missed fish but still managed a limit. I was able to save some pics enjoy!.........
