The bro and I met up with John (Klocked) at South Shores at 1230 Tuesday for an afternoon of fishing and evening of hooping. My initial plan was to head down to Izors reef and put John on some bass. Once we cleared the Queen Mary there were obvious white caps in the harbor. We headed out towards the bait barges to see if either had bait. By the time we got there, the wind was up and so was the chop. I decided I did not feel like making the run to Izors in sloppy conditions and we got a half scoop of dines from LB bait and hit up Cherry Beach for some flatties. We drfited that area till about 1530 with a few raked baits. Made afew moves for more of the same and one small dinky Halibut. The wind blew steady all afternoon and into the early evening. Hoops were in the water at 1750 and we fished some more. First set had 3 legals and maybe some shorts, I dont remember, then it was one here and there, for a total of 5 from the original spot. Made a move around midnight and did another set, for notta. Then another move for two more sets for one short. We were off the water at 0300 with 5 legals. John got to see a "Hesbros" grind 1st hand this time as I really did not want to give up and go home with 5 but the boys looked tired.

Ha ha lol, I just noticed John smiles as much as the rest the guys on the boat....is it me????
