What up fellow fisher peeps. Went to lake Wohlford on Weds. 3/4/09 around 9a.m. and thursday 3/5/09 in the afternoon. I went to the cafe first and paid for my permit. I headed down to willow cove 1st and tried for some trout. Missed 2, and finally got one withn 30mints of arriving. My first trout was caught on drop/shoting white power worm. 20mints later my pole w/the night crawler goes off, and bendo!! At first i thought it was a nice size fighting rainbow, but ended up being a 3.5# cat. over all on weds. I got 1-trout, and 2-cats.
Today I got to the lake kind of late and decided to try boat dock cove with my girlfriend. I only fished for about 2-3 hours. I set up my 1st pole on a inflated night crawler and was tossing kastmaster on the other. I got tired of using kast master after an hour so i sat down and started to eat my sandwich, when all of a sudden.. My bell starts going up and down and ringing! I run to my pole and set the hook. Wow, this trout kept on jumping out of the water like crazy. Felt huge, but was only 2.7#s. Ten minutes after that I decided to try the white power worm,.....Bam! get hit really close to sure maybe ten feet away or so. A nice lil rainbow at 3.5#s. I got a call around 4 from a friend that needed a ride so I had to bounce. The last 2 days was a lot of fun, took a lot of pics of the lake, birds, and that american bald eagle that chills at tha lake and them other fish eagles. Also the ranger there by the dock showed me this huge 6# trout that he saw get eaten by a enormous cat fish, it looked like the fish was torn apart. I took a picture of the torn up lil rainbow that someone could have caught. Anywho, ... ENJOY THE FISH PORN AND TIGHT LINES EVERYONE!
