View Full Version : First 1 1/2 day trip of 09

The Family an I got out this weekend on a charter 1.5 day trip on the
Voyager out of Seaforth. The Captain Jodie and the crew were great
they got us on some nice big bottom fish and the weather out there
was great. We fished the area above the Colonet first stop we drifted
on down goes the 16oz sinker in 350 feet of water.
My first catch of the day Huge Whitefish! We had steady action all day long
pretty much everybody got limits who could stand fishing deep water all day.
We caught some nice Reds,Chuckle heads,Whitefish,Squid and Lingcod these
were some of the biggest fish I have seen in some time. All in all nice trip I'll
be looking for another ocean trip soon Jackpot for the day Huge Lingcod I

Congrats on the great Pta. Colonet reds....such a productive fishery there. Even better that you got to do the trip with family, that's always nice.

Looks like a great trip! Thanks for the report.. Your first pic, you resemble OJ Mayo of the Memphis Grizzlies. Baller! One of my favorite players to watch.

that hombolt is huge!!! i'm guessing squiddies don't count towards the jackpot, though? Or was that ling THAT huge?

NO they don't count... but the Ling was huge I'm trying to get a pic of it!

Looks like a great trip out there. That humbolt is a friggin monster. Were are the 1200 lb bluefin when you need them. You cudda flylined that humbolt out for a MONSTER Blue!

NOT TROUT! No wounder why they kept busting off my 2 pound test line
It was a Awesome trip Bing... the Humbolt's were all huge they felt like I was reeling in a
MONSTER Blue I wish.
