Bassin' in the I. E. with Sr. Rambone n friends....3/03.

Woke up this morning with the bass itch getting stronger as the days sunlight stretches out longer. Have been noticing them cruising close the past couple of days and a couple of reluctant reaction strikes but no fish until today that is! Got to the spot with the Groucho around 9 , ChiefMad came about twenty minutes later. Nice cali morning with light clouds and mild temp. The water has been clearing up after the last rain, the visibililty was 15+ ft.
I started throwing a pins minnow for the first 10 minutes with a couple onlookers. I threw a spinnerbait in shad color and nada. Grouch was throwing the BBZ shad for nothing either. I switched it up to the d/s.....
first a robo worm but nothing. Next I put on a zoom lizard in watermelon seed and that was the ticket!!! BENDO !!!!! i ended up with 3 grouch 1 CheifMad 0 Looks like it should be cracking any day now. THe largies are starting to show up. :Razz:
