When Armando/HittsOn warned me about the potential bad influences that FisherBrat may encounter with the BadBoyz Fishing Crew on the Spitfire rendezvous last week, I was particularly vigilant.

Of course, I knew I had nothing to worry about since Garrett is very well behaved and has great judgment.

When I saw Ricky-Ray was busy on "red-alert" status during last week's trip, I didn't suspect he would have had an opportunity to be a bad role model for my 12 year old.

So I didnt anticipate any behavioral problems this weekend when I took FisherBrat to the rockfish opener on the Victory out of Pierpoint landing.

About 30 of us got on board for the 3/4 day trip.

But soon after we got on board, I was shocked to see FisherBrat out of control and "acting out."

Luckily we met another FNN member Scott (Capt'n) and his 14 year old boy Arthur (Fishyboy).
Garrett and Arthur hit it off.
It turns out that they have a lot in common.

Captain Mike, Carl, and Chef Richard kept us happy and catching rockfish all day long.

http://i735.photobucket.com/albums/ww358/dirtygirlfishing/DSCN3638-1.jpg

We even got treated to a whale watch.
http://i735.photobucket.com/albums/ww358/dirtygirlfishing/DSCN3621-1.jpg

Lots of sheephead, sculpin, groupers, treefish, barberpoles, and sand dabs were caught, mostly on fresh frozen squid and live bait.

Garrett was fascinated by Arthur/FishyBoy's shark, and the two giant eels that were hooked (all released without getting over the rail).

The wind kicked up a bit in the afternoon, but Skipper Mike, Carl, and Richard were awesome and worked hard to keep the anglers on the bite.

As usual, we had a fun productive day rockfishing on the Victory, and meeting our FNN friends Arthur and Scott.

Very nice report DG... looks like a pretty productive outing to me. Scott & Arthur are a great father and son fishing team, just like you and Garrett. Good times...
