Rockfish opener- Anacapa

Left channel islands harbor at about 6am and headed for the Gap between Anacapa and Santa cruz. Ton of boats out there, beautiful weather. We limited out pretty quickly with nothing impressive. All smaller sized fish unfortunately. Coast guard was out there boarding boats with fish and game. We were one of the lucky ones chosen and we were sweatin bullets when they were goin through our bag of fish. We had not counted them in a while and we knew we were close to our limit. Fortunately everything checked out fine and we were on our way.

40 assorted rockfish
2 sanddabs
