Got to the lake at 5:45 to see Yama and Ladyfish already first in line and only one other car there. Put my stuff in line and walked over to talk to Rodger and Rebecca. They had a box of doughnuts to share and some good conversation. Just a little bit later Mark "FishWhisperer rolls up. As we are in line waiting for Jim to open the gate we met up with Andre "Eat Sleep Fish" and his friend. Gates open and we all head for the "Logged Shore" on Lake 3.

Not too long goes by when I hook up with my first one. This fish put up a great fight. Yama nets him for me and he's a good quality size one. I didn't wiegh it but he looked around 2.5. The bite was kind of off and on today. Eat Sleep Fish hooked up with a nice one that was 4.14 and might of been a Hookjaw. Yama and Ladyfish had to leave around 12, unfortunately they left with a skunk. Next time you'll get'em. Soon after they leave FishWhisperer throws his line out where Yama and Ladyfish were and Bam. He lands a nice 4.4 lber on the jig. Before he landed that nice one I had one get away right as we were trying to net it.

Later in the afternoon I switch my bait pool to nightcrawlers. Within 10 min. I get a hit. This one stayed deep and didn't want to come up. Finally we he pops up and it's a bass. My second bass of the year. Mark caught 2 more regular size ones on the jig. ESF and his buddy had 3 each and decided to head to the Angling Pond around 2:30 to finish off their limit. I hooked up with one more after they left. The ones I caught were on a split shot and power worms (pink).

It was kind of slow but still a good day of fishing. We got to fish with friends and meet some new ones. It was nice meeting you and your friend Andre. Rodger and Rebecca always a pleasure. This is a place if you never been here, make your best effort to try this place out. It's quite a drive but well worth it. I know Dana is trying to work out an event for us at the Ranch. In the next couple of weeks I want to set up a Rendezvous at the Ranch so if you never been there and are interested in trying this place out look out for that post. So far to date for me the Ranch has some of the hardest fighting fish around. Thanks for reading and I'll see you at the Ranch soon!

Nice pics , Its was a pleasure to meet you man vs wild I was eatsleepfish buddy the one that neted your bass That was a nice toad your buddy tony caught. I cant wait to get out again see you at fred hall.

Stroller fishing gear hauler 0wnz ! Good to see clear and staedy waters.I'll get out there one day when our schedules combine once again! Great report and nice pics!

Hey MvW another nice report and pictures. You always put effort in and it shows. By the looks of the place I'm guessing that you have to lug all your gear from your car to your fish spot? Google Earth shows the lakes but no cars around. I've never been but would like to. Like your stroller/rod/diaper bag/food/tackle/chair/////////............ Carrier :LOL: I have one also! :ROFL:

good job out there nice too see those beauties those are some nice looking full tailed trout bet they put up a fight.also nice little largie way to go and yeah your right we need to hook up and fish some time.until next time keep on hooking them bad boys.

MVW - That was just too much fun!
Next time LF & I will show ya where that Chinese Buffet place is! Good eats! And all you can eat! Ya ever see the movie Crush Groove with the sceen with the Fat Boy's doing the "All you can eat" rap? It's too funny!
That stroller is bad ***! That thing rolls across Grassy Pt !
I may have to build one of those!
ESF - That toad was no joke.. that thing was takin' line! Nice
BENDO - That is the prefered spot for sure. Especially since it is starting to heat up.. The toads will be looking for the water movement.. We will be moving to lake 2 soon!
