Edit: I tried to change the date to 2/28 in the title, but it's not cooperating.

So Dalean had the hook up and got us out to Rio Bravo. It was suppose to be me, him and skaguy, but skaguy had some O/T going on.

Brent and I got there a little after noon I think. First cast with the d/s produces a hook-up for me, but he got off. Brent followed up a few casts later with one.

Overall it was kinda slow. There were a couple other dudes out there doing well on Senkos. I finally landed one in the 1+ range and a smaller one. FISH ON just so happened to call me after blanking at Truxton, so I told him we had an extra spot. He showed up about 1/2 hour later. He caught one on a green tube and Brent got another on the d/s.

No big ones, but enough to keep us busy and good times hanging out.

I'm sure somebody is getting bass up there, but Isabella is a stingy lake, IMO. It has a later spawn than most lakes in our area due to weather and river inflow. Best time for Isabella is late June through August and sometimes into October for numbers AND size. Five pounders and bigger are NOT uncommon at all.

I have a bad habit of waiting until somebody tells me it's good...Then by the time I get there, it's not as good. Although I end up with a few fish and bigger fish.

Maybe if you wanna plan on heading up this summer, let me know. You're in a kickboat, right? We can head up together. I won't camp that time of year though because it's too frickin hot, LOL.

I'd love to get up there a toon in with you this summer Bako, I've got a kickboat but it's set up more for rowing and useing my trolling motor. I can change it around to do anything though. Heck I'd even camp in the heat, I had to do it all the time when I was a whitewater guide up north. I'll give you a holler if I can pull it off.

For sure Ronira.

Isaac...We certainly enjoyed ourselves. Hart is next on the list, so keep your ears open for a meet-up call.

Scott...Certainly better than not catching anything. Stay tuned for some epic fish porn this season once I get the rust shook outa my rods, LOL.

What happened to the real-time report text?
Sorry about that, Mike. I didn't see the point as we were at a private lake. People couldn't come out and join in really, ya know.

Actually, these real-time reports kill me...because I send one out and everyone starts texting me back, LOL. There's about 15 people on my fishing group on the phone. At least 1/4 and sometimes 1/2 of them text me back just to say "cool" or "good job" or "I love you"...oh wait...sorry Skaguy.

I was out at BV on Saturday but I got the old skunk. I did not notice any Bass in the shallows and a guy with a fish finder informed my that they were hanging close to the bottom out in the flats. I did not get a water temp. Most of the day was spent hunting the remaining trout, of which I do not think many are left. The trout fees are no longer being charged and the area was very empty.
