We ran into this place by accident yesterday. So today I decided Jr. and I would hit it up and see if there are any fish in this small pond. We were in no hurry when we woke up this morning because, honestly, I wasn't expecting to catch anything. We got to the pond at 9:00a.m. and I started out throwing a spinnerbait and Jr. tried his luck with a 6" Roboworm in Margarita Mutilator on the splitshot. With no luck with the spinnerbait after 15 minutes or so, I decided to tie on the trusty dropshot with a 6" Roboworm in People's Worm. At 10:15a.m., Jr. was about ready to go. So, we packed it up and headed home. We did manage to catch a few on our short trip though. Enjoy the fish porn.

Hey Matt, I've lived here for almost four years and just now found this pond that is just two miles from the house. After seeing a fish that size in such a small body of water, I'm curious as to find out what's the biggest fish in the pond. Lot of small ones for sure. I even saw a small trout cruising the shallows. Thanks for the comments all.

Great post. I've lived here all my life. I hope you put the big boy back for future fun? I've seen some asian guys catching fairly large catfish in there and taking them home, but I don't care about those. This pond is actually in my backyard. The big ones are typically put in there by locals. The dinks are more common. The largest fish put in there was over 5-lbs but didn't survive. I saw a homeless lady find it on the bank dead shortly after it was planted (not enough oxygen or food in there I'm guessing) and gut it in front of a group of little kids after they got of the schoolbus. It was funny and yet disturbing at the same time.
