I was looking at the 1.5 day trip on the Holiday, departing on Wednesday 3/11 and returning on Friday the 13th at $199. It's listed as "freelance" trip. I may sign up for this trip since I'm off those days but I want to check it out at the Fred Hall Show.
How is the Holiday for a 1.5 day trip?

The Holiday is an excellent boat. It just underwent extensive remodeling as they are entering into the longer ranged trips, and as such, they are trying to get attention by offering competitively priced trips this year. The lead deckie and the captain are customer friendly, and have been around the sportfishing scene a long time.
It's a good boat!
* my only criticism is that while the cook does a good breakfast and "standard" lunch (burgers etc...), the dinner was "less than stellar". Last time I went (January??) the cook was a young guy.
