This my first time posting a report here.I was at Irvine on friday it was cool and cloudy a very nice day.Started out the day drifting night crawlers by trout island my first line in the water was bit almost immediatly got a 2 1/2 lb rainbow.fished that area for about a hour more without a bite decided to try some trolling I hooked up with six fish on the troll never even got to see one I usually get most my fish on the troll not this time. Then I decided to go fish some lip ripperz that I had just purchased here.I hit the west shore across from trout island and caught a couple 1 lb rainbows and missed a couple bites.I will try to attach some pix to see if it works!

Nice, you did good.
Was it very crowded?
Glad to hear the trolling was finally happening. Monday, I trolled all over that lake and didn't get a strike. I'll be there again this Monday and will give it another try.
tight lines...

gf , welcome to the FNN board . Thanks for posting as thats how we learn . Nice looking water on your second pic , if the trout are short striking on the troll , next time out try HOLDING your rods as you can get a faster hook set , maybe . // db

good job on the fish, considering how the vine has been slow as of late.
