does any-one know where i can camp at big bear with a boat? want to go for july 4th and all campgrounds that take reservations only are already booked. used to go there every 4th when i lived in riverside.
also do you have to have an annual boat pass?
basically looking for a place for 4 people and 2 chiwuawuas and 1 boat. with a first come first served camping.
thanks in advance''''

any-one who lives in big bear if you happen to know where pine knot is i have these campsites available to reserve
#1,7,10,15,16,20,29, and 37. which is best for 2 tents, and some shade?

Pine knot is at the base of snow summit, tucked next to the main parking lot, behind the condos there. I stayed there a couple summers ago. I can't remember specifics to the sites, but there was decent shade to be had at most of them.
