We heard the cudas were biting about a mile of the wall, so we catch up with the victory and see no results, they take off for the flats , we take off to do some rockfishing . drop the lines for some whitefish less than 5 min, we got double hookups on Red Rock vermillions using frozen squid.

we still had some live chovies so i tell Leo, let's go for some bocaccios, considerating we never caught any, we had been out there a few times but only caught some reds and sanddabs. I had lost all hope for the big mouth bastards, and hated dropping 300 feet for sanddabs. well, today was not their day. 2 drops , 4 bocaccios, 3 three pounders , 1 small we threw back. kept all 3 with the promise of hooking somebody up in exchange for the location on the barracuda.

We hooked up with the whole fleet at the east of the horseshoe , about 1 mile off the east wall in 73 feet of water, we got 3 hookups but couldn't land them. the party boats were nailing them.
