I'll be up at Wishon Res. in June, staying at Wishon Village campground. I plan to fish 4 or 5 other lakes/streams in the area like I do every year.
I know there's a few other FNNers who have been in that area, but those who want the real Sierra scenery with big Sequoias, Redwoods, and Firs with granite mountains, this is the place to go.
Weather conditions are better also.....day highs are in the 80s and night temps around 45-50. I like the late spring/early summer or at the end of the season best because of the crowds, but compared to the Eastern side of the Sierras during the middle of summer it's not that bad.
Fishing is great also with many Rainbows along with the possibility of big Browns, Brookies, and Kokanee Salmon.
This is my fav place and I'll tell anyone that wants to know about, and experience this area and how great it is (not a salesman). I've been going to this area for over 40 years.
