I was planning to take a trip to Catalina with the wife, and wanted to know whether Catalina had rental skiffs you could take out and fish near the marina. It really beats the long, slow ride there and back on the local boats!

Any advice greatly appreciated!

Fishincatalina might be able to help you out.

Here's a link to Joe's rent-a-boat

The Joe's rental boat looks like the ticket.

You could always do a private charter on on of them 6 pack boats. Very fast and $$$$$

Green Pleasure pier. Green peas, YES, green peas are the hot ticket for everything from perch to calico's. Try some drop shotting, Big Hammers, Krocs, Lucky Crafts, Rapala's. etc for bass and anything bigger. Also don't forget bait and some surface irons like a Tady45 for barracuda if they're boiling

This is a great topic (for me at least). I may be heading to Catalina this weekend with my wife and was thinking about fishing for a half day as well. What is the 6 pack that was mentioned earlier? I would love to be able to get on a small boat with others that know the islands waters or with a guide..
