I got to the lake at 5:30am and i'd never seen a line soooo long. Must have been 50 cars full of people. You can see the shoreline pics. Anaizing, there was no shoreline spots left after 30 minutes. Anyways, i did my thing and in minutes it was on. After a minute i looked at my phone, 6:34am I had 3 fish and i'd lost 6 due to the flying emerald trout, spitting the hook in the air. Crazy. At 7:00 i bought my second pass. I only had 4 but i knew i'd need it today. After i purchased my second pass, NOTHING. The fish had gone deeper. So i packed up my stuff at 11am and cleaned my 4 fish and headed out to some deeper waters. Hit up a small hidden spot on the west side and after 1 /12 hours i had my double limit. 10 fish all weighting 2lbs average. I was on my way to clean and get my third permit and thought to myself,"I better leave, I want to say some fish for later." If you were there today you know, it was ON. Fly fisherman, jiggers on boats and tubes and shorefisherman all scored. 2lb line was my key ingredient. i seen guys using 6 and 4lb line. They have very few bites,VERY FEW. It's all about the 2lb. I'll get the pics up in a minute, i need to clean the fish guts and blood off of me, i look like a butcher. Went to LNL today looking for a BIG fish, and came out with 24lbs of fish, can't complain.

I thought of others when i didn't head back to the store to buy my third pass. Trust me , i was walking to the store and i stopped. I was shooting for on of the trophy fish today, and it didn't happen, and didn't look like it was going to happen. Plus its not cool to overfish the lake two days after a stock. Leave some fish for others to catch.

Don't hate bro. You clicked on this message by yourself, nobody forced you. And sent a reply. What, did i get you all messed up with my report and pics. j/k. Don't think i have to follow trucks to catch fish either. I've got over 1000 pics of panfish and bass alone, that I caught last year. You name it i'll catch it. I don't need a truck with fish to show up.

You paid your way fairly like everyone else. It keeps the lake stocked within the schedule she uses. Great stringer of fish. When the bite dies down with warmer weather you can't beat fishing in the spot you were in. It's also my backup spot.

Can't wait till the gills, slabs and bass come out to play. LNL's got loads of them.

Nice pictures and report....not to mention the catch! LNL has been the best paylake in Orange County this year imo, it is no wonder everyone has been flocking to the lake. Nice quality fish, no phantom stockings and the lake seems to be clean everytime I go.

Chivo I was talking about this with a friend of mine and was thinking the same thing, then I started thinking about the die off I was reading about this past summer. I have yet to catch an incidental bass or even seen a panfish in the half dozen times I have been to LNL. I'm thinking that bass and panfish catches are not going to be so hot as a result of this. Any thoughts or insights?

Keep your reports coming Chivo, I always make sure to read them!
