Well again I passed up a Bugging trip with Eddie (Hesbros) due to commitments at home. I went into overdrive to complete all the assigned missions set forth by the wife.:Big Grin:

With dinner simmering and all the pets fed I scurried up stream about 5 minutes this time armed with some of mother natures gifts from our garden. Earthworms, Red Worms and Grubs.:Thumbs Up:

I fished for just over 1 hour for 10 fish, all natives and CPR'D for another day and made it back home before all returned and dinner was waiting!!!!!

They loved my little gifts from the garden fished Whacky on a single egg hook with a 1/32 oz shot, but were difficult to keep buttoned on. I need to go with a different hook next time. They munched well over 50 treats today for my 10 landed.:Big Grin:

Water conditions were perfect. Good flow, clear, and evening approaching. Got bit up by Mosquitos though! Hmm. I do have the Fly reel but no pole. Maybe in the future!!!!

Beautiful scenery! Reminds me of my stream fishing days back when I lived in New Mexico, talk about a positive attitude adjustment. Good mental therapy!

Nice looking natural trout!!! Trade you one day's use of a flyrod to get to fly fish that stream :)..LOL I will even include the flies if you can tell me what would be working there. Mosquito's.. yup have a few of those. Also some Adams and lots of Elk hairs

Do not think that is on Hwy 38

I love that short drive up the road to your house Steve. Takes me back to a place that I grew up in Virginia. The sight, sound and smell does wonders for pschychie. One of these days, I'd like to take a stroll in your backyard with Wingnut Pug. Not to fish, but just to relax and enjoy Mother Nature. Nice going on the little treasures from the streams. :Big Grin:

Finally a guy who gets off on catching the little wild trout like me also. I've had soooo many good times in the back country of the arroyo seco wilderness and the san gabriels pursuing little wild trout. My problem is that tying 2lb line is something that will make me eventually want to shoot myself....LOL
I finally broke down and bought some reading glasses so I could see the hole in a size 10 or 12 hook !!!
I loved the pics Steve........I used to hike with my ex and the kids up there every weekend and the pics bring back all of the good memories. I can almost smell the forest!
I expect an invite some day up to your backyard!

Thanks for the report!
