View Full Version : A little pond bassin' (pics)...

Headed out this morning to the local pond for a quick try. Decided to only throw jerkbaits, since I've been trying to break myself of my reliance on the drop shot, lol. Managed these guys in about two hours time:

Two were caught on a Lucky Craft Slender pointer 112MR, and one dink on a Pointer SP 78, both in MS American shad. They're definitely starting to wake up. Saw a lot of males cruising the shallows. It's about to go off! Tight lines.

I havn't been over there in a while. Its nice to see that there's still a pretty happy bass population in there. It always amazes me.

Yeah, it's as healthy as ever. And the bass are getting bigger now that the bluegill population has been thinned. They are getting a bit smarter, but as long as you throw something they haven't seen before, they seem cooperative, he he. Have fun, guys.

That place is awesome. I call it my honey hole. Thanks for showing it to me. I, always, go there to get my bass fix on.

Nice report. I have been telling DrGonnaCatchaBigOlFish that it is time to hit that place up, but then I realized, just because Skyler is catching them there does not mean I will! (Since everytime I fish it with you, I don't catch anything!)

What's up, James? We need to get together again and nail some fish. As for the fish there, yeah, they can be uncooperative at times, but lately I've noticed that if you just methodically throw everything in your tacklebox, you are bound to pick a couple up. The problem is that those fish have been C&Red too many times, lol. Roboworms have certainly lost their appeal there, he he. Think shiny and you can get a good reaction bite though. Have fun, guys.
