Ok, got thing's rectified with the pic's, so here goes. John and I fished behind the island for 15 fish, mixed smallie's and largie's, to 3.5 pounds.

Everything he picked up to fish with worked, with catching done on spro sexy shad, a black football jig, a red and black twin armed spinnerbait with little tiny blades (old school).http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j249/exfactor1/P2200003.jpg

My moment of fame came while fishing the swimbait, red drum 3 inch 1/4 ounce, where the rod loaded up good, and I got this.

The scale was thumbnail sized. Anyway, John smoked me 12 to 3, but he has the boat, and I'm glad to let him get me if it means fishing more with him on his NICE Ranger boat.

is it tough to get your boat on the lake with all the inspections and such??? I would love to take my kids up there on my Ranger and rip some lips.

The inspection process isn't too bad, just be clean and dry. Trout fishing hasn't been great as the planting schedule has been hindered by F and G. Pretty much a ghost town during the week, and today the board of supervisors met speaking about rate increases from 8 to 15 for day use, and annual boat passes from 65 to 130 a year. Fishing in california is getting more and more expensive!

I was worried the 140 degree power washing they do to the hull would peel off my keel guard and cook off my boat wax....how is it?
